Every figure in this dossier carries one of six labels and a source key. There are 93 of them, and the split below is counted from the data modules at build time — so this page cannot claim a discipline the site is not actually keeping.
The six labels
Read off the bench with an instrument. The strongest thing we can say.
Built and running, but not yet characterised. It works; we have not put a number on how well.
Derived from measured inputs by a stated formula. As good as its inputs and its arithmetic.
Produced by the model with no hardware in the loop. Defensible, and not evidence.
From a cited external source — published physics, or the design requirement itself.
Planned. Does not exist yet, and is never written in the present tense.
What that adds up to
62 of 93 labelled figures are measured or implemented — things that exist on a bench. The rest are calculated, modelled, referenced or targeted, and are marked as such wherever they appear. That ratio is not flattering, and publishing it is the point: a number's label travels with it, so nobody has to guess which kind they are reading.
The build enforces this. scripts/verify.mjs fails on a figure with
no status or no source, on a source key that does not resolve in the registry, and on the turbidity sweep disagreeing with the table
published in the project README. None of it depends on anyone remembering.
